Simple Sunday

Call me slow or whatever, but i just realised something.

EOYS ARE JUST 3 AND A HALF WEEKS AWAY.

-scream-
-shriek-
-faint-

And EOYs take up a awfully large percentage in the grades for the entire year --- 50%. Yes, 50%. That means that this is it.

This is it to determine my level ranking for this term. Though it may be sucky currently, this is my chance to prove myself to everyone. Top 100, HERE I COME!

Hence, to do well in my examinations, i must devise a strategy. Yes, a mugging strategy.

-scream-
-shriek-
-faint-

From tomorrow onwards all the way to the end of years, i shall not turn on the computer unless it is of utmost importance (e.g. saving the world from extinction). No manga (including new releases of naruto and bleach and katekyo hitman reborn) , no games, no blogging, no basketball (sob sob) and of course, no going out for lunch or dinner or anything.

I am going to be cut off from this virtual world. There shall only be a few places i can visit --- Catholic High School and My Home.

No basketball :(
No lunch invites :)

Sunday, September 13. The last day i will enjoy myself thoroughly. The last day i will go online.
Monday, September 14. The real battle begins.

Fruity Friday

OH! It has been one whole week since i last updated this blog. I'm so sorry that you have to face the same old post every single time you log onto this blog. Oh well, at least there is still Guochang's blog to entertain you. As said by nicholas,

"Who doesn't read Guochang's blog?"

Agreed. Nobody doesn't. Everyone does. Anyway, here's the URL of his blog. Click here.

I just read his blog just now. And Guochang wrote about what he would do if he had 10 days left to live. And i must say it was really meaningful and touching.

Therefore, i shall be a copy-cat and start copying Guochang's idea (i hope you don't mind).
But it wouldn't be exactly copying though, since i don't want to die of lung cancer or anything. And i do not want to mislead everyone. Haha. So no introduction.

P.S. if you are looking for pictures i suggest you give up.

Day 1:
Since i should just know about the news, i should be grieving together with my family. I will stare out of my window, with the window pane wide open, enjoying the cool breeze that God blessed the world with. I will close my eyes and savour how beautiful this world is.

And i will go to sleep.

Day 2:

I shall walk over to Eugene's house to play basketball for one final time. Before that, i shall stop by the Starbucks shop at Woodlands Civic Center and get myself the most tantalizing cup of coffee the salesperson had to offer. Then, i will find a spot along the windows and swipe out a laptop and start surfing the net.

Then i shall walk over to his house and start playing basketball. After that, i shall force him to teach me and jian hong how to play tennis, since he has a tennis court.

Then, i shall do something that i'm sure nobody will believe i would --- call a taxi to bring me home.

I would then enjoy my mother's homecooked food before sleeping again.

Day 3:

Early in the morning, i shall gather all my friends (seriously all) and we will EAT! Since Macdonalds provide birthday parties, i'll make them make an exception for me and allow me to hold a farewell party.

After that, i shall go on a cruise with my clique and go one round around Singapore (the petrol price is crazy).

Then, i shall leave them and walk towards her and confess to her. Tell her how much i....HATE HER.

Day 4:
I shall devote this entire day to my grandparents. In the morning, i shall go over to my ahma's house and talk to her in pure hokkien. Okay, i will need a translator for that. And i shall go to the temple with her. Accompany her for half a day.

Next, i shall go over to my popo's house and talk to her in pure Cantonese. Okay, i will need a translator for that too. And i watch "意难忘" with her. Accompany her for the rest of the day.

Day 5:
I will spend the entire day with my family. I shall help my mother to cook a pot of curry for one last time. I shall help my father to fix his chair one last time. I shall help my sister to record her singing one last time.

And i shall eat with one whole table full of my favourite food, similar to all the other days.

In my final moments, i will sit on the red five-finger chair and face the sky.

How beautiful.

Okay it wasn't as entertaining as Guochang's but at least i did it okay. But i dun think such a thing will happen. As we grow old, i dun think that the rest will remember me anymore anyway.

That's it --- I'm going to finish the holiday homeworks (except physics) by tomorrow morning!

Focused Friday

HELLO! It has been quite long since i last blogged. Mainly because i was very busy with many many things, such as Chinese Prelim 3 and Homecoming 2009.

Lucky for me, Chinese Prelim 3's gone like the wind, while preparations for Homecoming 2009 are all in place. After tomorrow, my responsibilities are lifted off from my shoulders for at least one whole week.

September holidays, that is you actually call them holidays. They are just days when you wake up late for lessons in school. How meaningful. It doesn't affect me much anyway, since i had a pretty long "holiday" during the period when i contracted H1N1.

This September holiday will be one week full of hardcore mugging and back-to-back remedials. I bet people like Eugene are planning their week's schedule in precision to the minute.

Thus, i should do so too.

I MUST do well in end-of-year examinations for physics. Otherwise i am pretty much left dead.

Same goes for the other subjects as well. Especially biology, since the EOY will consist of a much higher percentage as i did not take biology this term due to that H1N1.

Darn, my L1R5 could be much lower.

It feels like there are so many things that i can update about, yet i am unable to think of them all of a sudden. Oh yes, I am VERY SURPRISED when so many of my classmates dropped by the class to help out in the banners for tomorrow's Homecoming. No offence there as well.

Let's see, what else?

And it seems that people who i don't know knows me as well (XUAN YU!!!)

OH YES!

Tomorrow is...
Catholic High School Homecoming 2009

The event that had me working like crazy. Though i could say it was an enriching experience, since i've learnt many things from the preparations.

And tomorrow's the real deal. I know there is bound to be screw-ups, but i am just crossing my fingers that these screw-ups will not be too major for us to handle.

Let there not be power trips.

Let there not be a traffic jam that will stop our supplies from reaching school.

Let there not be a fire.

Instead,
Let there be rain so people will come to the canteen to eat instead of playing at the wet parade square (HAHA joking)

Let there be lots of people to buy our stuff.

Let there be a smooth-sailing operation.

Okay, i'm going to sleep. I'm IC for the whole of tomorrow together with wei jie, eugene and vincent.

Goodnight.
